At Square Root we love a Fizzy Pop bargain, but rather than get caught up in the hype of Black Friday, we’re using the occasion as an opportunity to drive positive change!
For the second year running we’ll be partnering with a charity to raise funds and awareness of their work, while also offering the Fizz Fam something in return! This year we’ve chosen to partner with Trees For Cities, whose work helps plant urban trees and combat the threats facing the natural environment!
From every purchase you make on our online store between Thursday 25th November to Monday 29th November, we’ll be donating 15% towards Trees For Cities. For every bottle of fizzy pop you purchase, you’ll be helping us, help them to create greener, safer and more diverse urban cities for present and future generations to enjoy.
As our way of saying thanks, we’ll also be running a site-wide 15% discount for the whole weekend! (Give a little; Get a little - geddit?).
As a company that has set down roots in the urban metropolis of London, we’re acutely aware of the need for green spaces in order to reduce air pollution and provide future generations with diverse and vibrant surroundings to play, learn and live.
Each year, London’s trees remove approximately 2.4 million tonnes of air pollution, including Carbon Dioxide, dust and other gaseous toxins. In a single season, just one fully mature tree can also produce enough oxygen to allow ten people to breathe. Without these natural ‘lungs’ our cities will choke, affecting the lives and livelihoods of all those who live in them (and those that don’t!).
That’s why the work of Trees For Cities is so important – to date, they’ve planted nearly 1.3 million trees in cities across the world, while engaging more than 140,000 volunteers in their mission to create greener, healthier urban spaces.
For just £12, Trees For Cities can plant a tree in an urban woodland. To show the real impact your Fizzy Pop purchases will have, we’ll be installing a counter on our website so that you can track how many Trees that Trees For Cities will be able to plant with the money you’ve helped us raise!
